How can I change my window handle?

We are often asked if an existing window handle can be replaced with one of ours and the answer is as simple as it is immediate: yes!

Regardless of the type of window, whether it is wood, PVC or aluminium, window handles are all attached to the window in the same way and replacing them is extremely easy and quick.

Today we are going to show you how to replace your handle with one of our handles equipped with the SmartBlock anti-intrusion system.

What do you need?
All you need is a normal screwdriver.

Let’s get started!

1. Unscrew the grub screw that is located at the bottom or side of the handle with the Allen key that is supplied. If your handle does not have a grub screw, do not worry: just rotate the plate cover and by unscrewing the screws you can remove it together with the mechanism and then go directly to point 4.

2. Remove the cover plate.

3. Take the screwdriver and unscrew the screws to remove the mechanism.

4. At this point, insert our SmartBlock system and screw it onto the window frame.

5. Attach the cover plate.

6. Insert the special seal making sure that the teeth fit into their seats.

7. Mount our handle and fix it by tightening the grub screw with the Allen key supplied.
